- In the bowl of a stand mixer, use your whisk attachment and whip together cream cheese, nonfat greek yogurt, honey and vanilla until weel incorporated.
- Serve with your favorite fruit (our suggestions are below)!
Yogurt Fruit Dip Recipe Variations
Neufchâtel Cream Cheese: Neufchâtel Cream Cheese is just lower fat cream cheese. We use the cream cheese in a block (not whipped versions) I haven’t used regular cream cheese in this recipe, but I think it would work. It would make the cheesecakes higher in fat/calories.
Greek Yogurt: I have not tried substituting the greek yogurt in this recipe. Full fat yogurt may work but I can’t be sure.
Dairy Free: We do not recommend any dairy free options for this recipe.
Room Temperature: It is very important that these ingredients are brought to room temperature for the smoothest filling. If you don’t, your filing won’t be as smooth. Cream cheese will leave little lumps if it’s not completely to room temp. This will still be fine for eating, but not necessarily for presentation.
Honey: You can substitute honey for maple syrup. I haven’t tried any other sweeteners.
Vanilla Extract: If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can skip it. It would then be similar to our Healthy Cream Cheese Frosting.
Best Fruit for Fruit Dip
You can serve this healthy fruit dip with so many things. Here are some of our favorites:
- Strawberries or other berries
- Grapes
- Pineapple
- Apples
- Bananas
- Oranges
- Cantaloupe or watermelon
- Other dippers: pretzels, vanilla wafers, healthy monster cookies, etc
Serving Yogurt Dip for Fruit
You can serve this fruit dip as simple or as fancy as you would like! Here are our favorite ideas:
- simply in a bowl with fruit on the side
- as the centerpiece for a large fruit charcuterie board
- with a fruit garnish, like a sliced orange
- topped with cookie crumbs, like chocolate chip cookies, vanilla wafers, or even oreos (obviously not as healthy)
- swirl or top with peanut butter or other nut butters
- topped with granola, like peanut butter granola or vanilla granola
How to Store Healthy Fruit Dip
Storing: This fruit dip with strawberries will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in an airtight container
Freezing: We don’t recommend freezing this recipe because the cream cheese and yogurt can be a funny texture when thawed.
Reheating: Do not heat this recipe.
