Say goodbye to your catastrophic Monday scroll plans because sadly that just won’t be an option today as Facebook, Instagram, and even the WhatsApp messaging app are down.
All three social tools are breaking down and trust me when I say the world is in a bloody panic.
The folks behind FB (who also own Insta and WhatApp) made a statement on Twitter, aka one of the only social media apps to survive the tech storm.
“We are aware that some people have difficulty accessing our applications and products”, Facebook noted on Twitter.
“We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
On Twitter, director of political communication for Facebook Pierre Andy said the company is aware of the reported issues and “is working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”

As for Instagram, their official Twitter communication wrote: “Instagram and its friends are having a bit of a hard time right now, and you might be having trouble using them. Be indulgent with us, we are there! #instagramdown.

WhatsApp’s official Twitter also made a statement, writing, “We are aware that some people are currently experiencing issues with WhatsApp. We are working to get things back to normal and will send you an update here as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!”
